He emphasized that the Royal Government is committed to solving the problem of stalled investment projects in Sihanoukville.
In March 2023, the Royal Government launched a package of measures to resolve this issue. The measures are designed to help complete unfinished buildings and promote investment and business activities in completed buildings.
H.E. Dr. Hean Sahip said that the Royal Government is focused on accelerating the development of Sihanoukville into a multi-purpose special economic zone. This will create an important economic hub for tourism, financial services, and industry.
He also said that Sihanoukville is a priority province for the Royal Government. The government is committed to helping solve the problem of stalled investment projects in Sihanoukville, which are worth more than 1 billion US dollars.
The Royal Government’s measures to resolve stalled investment projects are a “package deal” that will be implemented by relevant ministries and institutions. The measures are designed to attract investors and tourists, create market demand, and revitalize economic activity.
H.E. Dr. Hean Sahip reiterated that the seminar is an important step in the process of resolving stalled investment projects. He asked all participants to pay attention to understand, disseminate, and participate in the implementation of the measures.
