The Royal Government of Cambodia is committed to establishing between 20 and 30 new factories-enterprises annually.
The commitment was underscored by Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen while holding a get-together with some 19,000 workers and employees from 13 factories and enterprises in Phnom Penh capital City and Kandal province, held at Morodok Techo National Stadium in Khan Chroy Changvar, Phnom Penh this morning.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen reaffirmed that the Royal Government will do its best to provide jobs for the people. Existing investments are encouraged to be expanded while new investments are attracted to set up factories-enterprises to create jobs for the locals, he added.
During the five-year term of the Prime Minister, 1,500,000 jobs must be created, the Premier said, stressing that at the same time, the Royal Government will have to pay for vocational training for 1.5 million young people from poor and vulnerable backgrounds.
This is a specific program the Royal Government has set out while striving to further develop road infrastructure, water, and electricity to attract more investors, underlined Samdech Techo Hun Sen.
