PHNOM PENH: Residential construction (Borey Housing) activities will continue to run smoothly in 2022, with several housing developers carrying out construction activities to meet the needs of their customers.
According to a Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning, and Construction report, the Ministry issued permits for the construction of 20 Borey housing projects in the first nine months of 2022.
Mr. Leang Monirith, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning, and Construction, also remarked that investment in Cambodia’s construction sector has risen steadily over the last decade and will continue to increase.
Large and high-rise buildings include condominiums, shopping malls, business centers, office buildings, hotels, multi-functional buildings, housing estates, villas, educational institutions, hospitals, banks, factories, warehouses, and so on.
He stated that in the first 9 months, the ministry issued permits for over 3,000 projects worth nearly $2 billion across the country. There are 98 high-rise projects or 100 buildings, with Phnom Penh having the most high-rise projects.
