PHNOM PENH: In a significant move for the Kingdom’s tourism sector, global travel company G Adventures has officially requested the support of the Ministry of Tourism to host the 2026 Global Tour Operators Summit (GX Summit 2026) in Cambodia.
On February 26, 2026, H.E. Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism, received Mr. Mark Howarth Archer, representative of G Adventures, along with his colleagues for a courtesy call at the Ministry’s headquarters. The primary focus of the meeting was to coordinate the organization of the company’s prestigious annual conference.

During the session, G Adventures formally requested the Ministry’s cooperation on several key logistical points, including general support for the international GX Summit 2026, the provision of a location at Wat Phnom for a local product exhibition, and the organization of a specialized tour of the temples in Siem Reap province.
H.E. Minister Huot Hak expressed high appreciation for G Adventures’ decision to select Cambodia as the host for this major international event. The Minister officially confirmed the Ministry’s agreement to support the company’s requests. “Cambodia is a safe tourist destination with high potential for travel, investment, and organizing global events,” stated H.E. Huot Hak.
The Minister thanked the company for their initiative, noting that hosting the GX Annual Summit 2026 will be instrumental in promoting Cambodia’s tourism sector and expanding the country’s reach within the international market.
