PHNOM PENH: On August 27, 2024, His Excellency Chea Kok Hong, Secretariat Director of the Master Plan to Develop Preah Sihanouk Province into a Model Multi-purpose Special Economic Zone held a consultation meeting with Chinese investors represented Chinese state-own companies such as MCC (Yunnan) Engineering Investment Construction and CCCC Marine Construction & Development, to explore potential investment opportunities in the region.

The discussion focused on priority projects outlined in the Master Plan, along with identifying suitable land areas within Preah Sihanouk Province for these projects. The Chinese investors also expressed a strong interest in collaborating with the government aimed at infrastructure development.

As a result, the Chinese investors committed to further engagement and exploration of these investment opportunities, signalling their intent to play a significant role in the future development of Preah Sihanouk Province.
