PHNOM PENH — China Communications Construction Company Ltd. (CCCC) has reaffirmed its commitment to driving Cambodia’s infrastructure development and ensuring the successful execution of critical projects across the Kingdom, according to an AKP press release today.
The assurance was given by CCCC Chairman Song Hailiang during a courtesy call and working meeting with Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, President of the Senate and President of the Cambodian People’s Party, in Beijing on June 26. Details of the high-level meeting were released to the media by Samdech Techo’s spokesman, H.E. Chea Thyrith.
During the talks, Mr. Song praised Samdech Techo as an outstanding leader whose ongoing support has been foundational to the company’s business operations and infrastructure milestones in Cambodia.
Briefing the Senate President on CCCC’s global development, Mr. Song highlighted the company’s substantial footprint in the Kingdom, which now includes 23 local branches. He noted that the company heavily prioritizes local employment, with Cambodian nationals making up more than 70 percent of its workforce.
Over the past two decades, CCCC has executed roughly 70 infrastructure projects throughout Cambodia, serving as a primary driver for the country’s economic growth and connectivity.
Looking forward, Mr. Song stated that CCCC is determined to expand Cambodia’s infrastructure network in close cooperation with the Royal Government led by Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet. He emphasized that future initiatives will place a heavy focus on green development and sustainable transformation—a commitment he also personally conveyed to the Prime Minister during a recent visit.
In response, Samdech Techo Hun Sen lauded CCCC’s global achievements and its long-standing contributions to Cambodia’s modernization.
The Senate President urged the firm to maintain a strict focus on completing three landmark projects vital to the nation’s logistics and transit strategies: the Funan Techo Canal, the Phnom Penh-Bavet Expressway, and National Road No. 50C linking Kampong Chhnang and Kampong Thom provinces.
Samdech Techo called for intensified efforts and continuous support to guarantee the successful completion of these initiatives, emphasizing their critical role in fortifying Cambodia’s infrastructure grid and ensuring sustained, long-term national development.
