CCC and ACBC Meet in Phnom Penh to Boost Bilateral Investment and Trade

PHNOM PENH — Neak Oknha Kith Meng, President of the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce (CCC) and Chair of the ASEAN Business Advisory Council for Cambodia, received a U.S. business delegation in Phnom Penh led by Ms. Chan Sokveasna, Founder and President of the American Cambodian Business Chamber (ACBC).

Ms. Chan Sokveasna expressed her appreciation for the warm reception and emphasized a strong commitment to expanding trade, business, and investment ties between Cambodia and the United States. She noted that the delegation includes representatives from major U.S. companies looking into opportunities across priority sectors, specifically logistics, infrastructure, manufacturing, and agriculture.

To build on this momentum, ACBC plans to lead additional business delegations to Cambodia to foster direct relationships between commercial leaders from both countries.

In response, Neak Oknha Kith Meng welcomed the initiative, highlighting the 76-year history of bilateral relations between Cambodia and the United States from 1950 through 2026. He acknowledged key historical milestones, including regional peace initiatives such as the Kuala Lumpur Peace Accord signed on October 26, 2025.

He emphasized that the United States remains a vital export market for Cambodia and noted that the presence of major American corporations like Coca-Cola, Ford, Chevron Caltex, and GE reflects continued confidence in the nation’s economic trajectory toward high-income status by 2050.

Both leaders concluded the meeting with shared confidence that the visit will serve as a catalyst for long-term investment partnerships and sustained economic growth across both markets.
