PHNOM PENH: A delegation from the Cambodia Microfinance Association (CMA), headed by CMA Chairman Mr. SOK Voeun and accompanied by CMA Secretary-General Mr. Phal Vandy, has joined representatives of the Association of Banks in Cambodia (ABC) at the European Microfinance Week (EMW) 2023 in Luxembourg.
This event, organized by the European Microfinance Platform (e-MFP) and supported by the Luxembourg Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs and Directorate for Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Affairs of the Luxembourg Ministry of Finance, brings together over 600 participants from more than 50 countries worldwide, including investors, development partners, practitioners, and professional associations and financial institutions.
The three-day event, running from November 15 to 17, 2023, focuses on promoting responsible financial inclusion, green finance, food security, and digital innovation.
During the EMW, the CMA delegation presented the financial sector’s efforts and initiatives to achieve responsible financial inclusion in Cambodia to investors, development partners, and other key stakeholders.
Additionally, the CMA delegation will hold a private meeting with the Secretary-General of the European Microfinance Platform (e-MFP) and the Social Performance Task Force (SPTF) to strengthen the existing good cooperation and partnership with the goal of advancing responsible financial inclusion in Cambodia.
