Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – A significant step toward bolstering Cambodia’s dairy industry was taken on Sunday, October 26, 2025, with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Alpha Group of Cambodia and Farm Fresh Group of Malaysia.
The partnership, formalized in Kuala Lumpur on the sidelines of the 47th ASEAN Summit, will see the two companies jointly invest in establishing a dairy farm and a raw milk canning factory within Cambodia.

The signing ceremony was held under the high chairmanship of His Excellency Sun Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister and First Vice Chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia. Leaders of the Cambodian Chamber of Commerce also attended the event.
Oknha Ly Khun Thai, Chairman of the Board of Alpha Group and Vice President of the Cambodian Chamber of Commerce, penned the agreement with representatives from the Malaysian dairy giant. Oknha Ly Khun Thai stated that the joint venture aims to expand the production of fresh milk and raw milk to keep pace with growing domestic demand in Cambodia.

Farm Fresh Group is a major player in Malaysia’s agricultural sector, operating a large dairy farm that currently houses approximately 14,000 cows.
The Cambodian delegation to the signing was led by Neak Oknha Kith Meng, President of the Cambodian Chamber of Commerce and Chairman of the ASEAN Business Consultative Council for Cambodia. The delegation was in Malaysia to accompany the Cambodian Prime Minister, who is attending the ASEAN Summit and related meetings from October 25 to 28, 2025.
This strategic alliance is expected to bring significant foreign investment and expertise to Cambodia’s agricultural landscape, potentially reducing the country’s reliance on imported dairy products.
