PHNOM PENH: Trade between Cambodia to the world leader economic countries, USA and China now reached a volume of $13 billion during the first seven months of this year.
Bilateral trade between Cambodia and the United States totaled $5,892 million in the first seven months of 2022, up 45 percent from the same period the previous year.
According to the General Department of Customs and Excise of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, Cambodia exported US$5,695 million in goods to the US from January to July, a 47 percent increase year on year, while the Kingdom’s imports from the US increased to over US$196 million, a 3 percent increase.
In the meantime, bilateral trade between Cambodia and China totaled US$6,971 million in the first seven months of 2022, an increase of 15.6 percent over the same period last year.
The General Department of Customs and Excise of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, Cambodia exported US$701 million in goods to China in the January-July period, a 15% decrease year on year, while imports from China increased to US$6,270 million, a 20% increase.
Cambodia primarily exported agricultural products to China, including milled rice, mangoes, bananas, and cassava, and imported industrial products, raw materials, and construction materials.
