PHNOM PENH: Cambodia expects to attract more international visitors through its participation in the 17th International Travel Expo Ho Chi Minh City (ITE-HCMC 2023). The event, which will be held from September 6 to 9, is an annual international travel expo in the Mekong region.
The Cambodian delegation, led by Minister of Tourism H.E. SOK Soken, will be attending the expo to showcase the country’s tourism products and promote its potential as a leading tourism destination. Minister Soken will also deliver a keynote address on the “Insight into Digital Transformation in Promoting International Tourism Development”.
Through this event, Cambodia Expects to attract more international visitors to purchase its tourism products and promote the country’s potential as a leading tourism destination more widely to target markets and international markets in line with the “Visit Cambodia 2023” promotion campaign and promote Cambodia tourism as a Warm, Safe, Clean and Green Destination.
In 2022, Cambodia received over 2.3 million international tourists, an increase of 1,059% from the previous year. The government is targeting 4.5 million international tourists in 2023.
