PHNOM PENH: Cambodia is participating in the development and promotion of electric vehicle (EV) use in Cambodia in collaboration with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) to help reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from the automotive sector as part of the increase. Greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions are causing global warming, climate change, declining air quality, and pollution.
To support the Cambodian government’s efforts in this area, the Ministry of Public Works and Transport has established several EV charging stations and invited national and international investors to participate.
The Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MPWT) has three EV charging stations, with another one set to open soon, as well as seven engines, four of which are located in the Ministry’s office and three others in Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and Battambang provinces, as well as installation projects in other regions to serve people who use electric vehicles (EV):
