PHNOM PENH: The Royal Government of Cambodia (RGC) through the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), and MinebeaMistumi have entered into an agreement on long-term industrial land lease for the latter to further expand business and investment in Cambodia.
The signing ceremony was presided over by H.E. SUN Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister and First Vice President of the CDC, accompanied by H.E. TYU Ry, Ambassador of Cambodia to Japan, in Tokyo of Japan on May 9.
The event took place following the meeting between H.E. SUN Chanthol, and Mr. Yoshihisa Kainuma, Chairman/CEO of MinebeaMitsumi, to strengthen and expand the cooperation between the RGC and Japan’s private sector to a new height.
The CDC vice president took the opportunity to thank MinebeaMistsumi for its trust on the RGC through noticeably large-scale investment capital in Cambodia, and appreciated the Japanese company’s success in business operation reflected by steady expansion of its investment projects in the Kingdom.
H.E. SUN Chanthol was convinced that MinebeaMistsumi will continue to actively contribute to creating more job opportunities for the locals and promoting local economic growth.
Earlier on the same day, H.E. SUN Chanthol paid a visit to Japan Freight Railway Company to learn about its experience on logistics and railway transport system in Japan to improve Cambodia’s railway transport.
