PHNOM PENH: Cambodia exported 420,572 tonnes of milled rice in the first seven months of 2025, representing a 10.8 percent increase compared to 379,546 tonnes in the same period last year, according to a report by the Cambodia Rice Federation (CRF) released on Aug. 7.
The Kingdom earned US$308 million in revenue from these exports during the January–July period, up 10 percent year-on-year, the report added.

The exported rice varieties included fragrant rice, long grain white rice, parboiled rice, and organic rice, with fragrant rice accounting for 77.65 percent of the total volume.
The European Union (comprising 26 countries) remained Cambodia’s largest market, importing 200,772 tonnes of milled rice—47.7 percent of total exports—valued at US$156 million.
China was the second-largest market, importing 105,621 tonnes and generating US$62 million in revenue.
Other export destinations included seven ASEAN member states and 32 countries in Africa and the Middle East, the report noted.
In addition, Cambodia earned approximately US$914 million from the border trade of 3.87 million tonnes of paddy rice during the same period.
Last year, Cambodia exported 651,522 tonnes of milled rice worth US$491 million.
