PHNOM PENH: Cambodia earned more than US$143 million from exports of milled rice and paddy rice in January 2026, according to a report released by the Cambodia Rice Federation (CRF) on Feb. 9.
During the month, the Kingdom exported 115,784 tonnes of milled rice, marking a sharp increase of 95 percent compared to 59,086 tonnes in January 2025.
Milled rice exports generated US$70.93 million in revenue, up 47.67 percent from approximately US$48 million recorded in the same period last year.
In terms of destinations, Cambodia exported 38,156 tonnes of milled rice worth US$26.53 million to 14 European countries, 25,416 tonnes valued at US$16.75 million to China, and 42,097 tonnes worth US$18.78 million to five ASEAN member states. An additional 10,115 tonnes, valued at US$8.87 million, were shipped to 14 other markets, including countries in Africa, the Middle East, the Americas, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
Fragrant rice remained the dominant export, accounting for 66.31 percent of total milled rice exports, followed by broken rice of all types at 25.94 percent. Organic rice represented 0.85 percent, parboiled rice 1.55 percent, white rice 0.11 percent, and other rice varieties 5.24 percent.
Meanwhile, Cambodia also exported 322,488 tonnes of paddy rice during the month, generating an estimated US$72.56 million in revenue.
