PHNOM PENH: Cambodia and China have reached three important agreements to further boost their bilateral relations and cooperation.
The signing ceremony was witnessed by H.E. Sun Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister and First Vice-Chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia and visiting H.E. Wang Yi, Member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, Director of the Office of the Central Commission for Foreign Affairs, and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, after they co-chaired the 7th Meeting of Cambodia-China Intergovernmental Coordination Committee at the office of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) here on Monday.
The signed documents include the exchange of notes on China’s assistance for rural water supply project-phase 2, the handover-receipt certificate on Cambodia agricultural development masterplan, and the protocol concerning the quarantine and phytosanitary requirements on semi-finished dog food products made from cowhide for export from Cambodia to China.
The Chenla Kingdom’s Diary focusing on territory, traditions and customs, translated into Khmer, was launched on the occasion, along with the celebration of Cambodia’s official fresh coconut export to China.
