PHNOM PENH: Cambodia’s open investment policy attracts billions of US dollars. Cambodia adheres to an open investment policy in all areas for both domestic and foreign investors.
The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) provides information to investors on investment incentives and priority activities and facilitates investment in collaboration with ministries and institutions.
This open investment policy has paid off, with Cambodia attracting fixed-asset investment of 3.76 billion U.S. dollars in the first nine months of 2023, up 8.6 percent from the same period last year.
The CDC also approved 191 investment projects during the January-September period this year, up 27 percent from the same period last year.
The top five foreign investors in Cambodia were from China, Malaysia, the British Virgin Islands, Singapore, and Vietnam, according to the CDC.
