PHNOM PENH: Cambodia Angkor Air (CAA) has launched a new route between Siem Reap, Cambodia, and Vientiane, Laos, contributing to the development of the tourism and economic sectors of both countries.
Operating one flight a week on every Monday, flight number K6 908 departs from Siem Reap International Airport at 06:00 am by Airbus-A321 and lands at Wattay International Airport at 07:05 am, then marks the return service back by K6 909 with the departure time at 07:50 am from Vientiane and arrival time at 09:00 am in Siem Reap, stated a CAA’s press release issued yesterday.
The new route Siem Reap-Vientiane is an extension of CAA’s commitment to serving passengers by providing convenient connectivity to wonderful destinations in no time, the company underlined.
“A journey to both historical wonders is somehow a dream come true for adventurers who seek to explore numerous temples and historical sites, and stunning natural surroundings. Therefore, this new route will attract more tourists and business travelers, which contribute to the development of the tourism and economic sectors of both countries,” it said.
The airline affirmed that it will increase frequency soon in the coming time for this new route.
In addition, as the first and remain the only airline in Cambodia to achieve the International Air Transport Association’s Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) certification from IATA, and the official carrier to promote the government campaign of “Visit Cambodia 2023,” passengers can fly with confidence, knowing that CAA has met the industry’s highest safety standards.
Besides the new flight to Vientiane, CAA currently serves many other flight destinations – domestic routes: Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and international routes: Vietnam’s Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh, Danang, and China’s Guangzhou, Zhengzhou, Shanghai, Haikou, Macau.
