Cambodia Angkor Air to resume two flights

PHNOM PENH: After a long hiatus, Cambodia Angkor Air will resume flights from Siem Reap to Sihanoukville and Da Nang in Vietnam in early July, reuniting tourists from the three regions. Two years with a Covid-19 outbreak.

Flights between Siem Reap and Da Nang, Vietnam, will resume on July 1, 2022, with the first flight, K6840, departing at 15:35 and taking 2 hours to reach Da Nang province. During the reopening, the airline will operate three flights per week, increasing to five flights per week in September 2022 and continuing to fly every day shortly.

According to Mr. Luu Minh Chung, General Director of Cambodia Angkor Air, Cambodia Angkor Air is the country’s only national airline to have received International Security Assistance (IOSA) certification. We are delighted to serve as a link between Cambodia and Vietnam in terms of cultural, economic, and tourism exchanges.

Currently, the company is proud to provide a wide range of services between the two countries with more than 30 flights per week, from Phnom Penh to Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, from Siem Reap to Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang from Sihanoukville. To Ho Chi Minh City.

The flight between Siem Reap and Sihanoukville will begin on July 2, with the first flight of the K6131 departing from Siem Reap at 15:10 for a one-hour journey to Sihanoukville. The resumption of flights is critical for the two provinces’ economic cooperation and tourism development.

Currently, only Angkor Air provides domestic air transport services, with daily flights between Phnom Penh and Siem Reap beginning in February 2022. There are three flights per week between Siem Reap and Sihanoukville.

Mr. Luu Minh Chung stated that the company plans to increase the number of flights on these two routes, particularly daily flights between Siem Reap and Sihanoukville, which will fly in August 2022.
