PHNOM PENH: Cambodia Airways’ inaugural flight KR991 on Mar. 27 landed smoothly at Beijing Daxing International Airport, marking the successful launch of its new route between the capital cities of Cambodia and China.
According to the airline’s press release, a special celebratory event to commemorate the launch of the new service was organized at Beijing Daxing International Airport in the presence of Cambodia Airways’ Director, Mr. Duan Lian, and Beijing Daxing International Airport’s leaders.
The first flight, KR991, operated by an Airbus-A320, departed from Phnom Penh International Airport at 7:50 AM and landed at Beijing Daxing International Airport at 13:30 PM (local time).
The return flight KR992 departed from Beijing Daxing at 14:30 PM and arrived in Phnom Penh at 18:15 PM (local time). Upon arrival at Beijing Daxing International Airport, the aircraft was greeted with a water salute to celebrate the success of the new expansion of Cambodia Airways’ route network.
The newly landed passengers were warmly welcomed by the representatives from both sides and staff dressed in Khmer traditional clothes.
Cambodia Airways is offering a three-times-a-week service for the new route, scheduled regularly every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
