PHNOM PENH: An E-commerce license is available for applicants, given the rise of the need for online buying and selling of goods and for other e-services.

H.E. Pan Sorasak, Minister of Commerce chaired an official launch of the Automated System to Apply for E-Commerce Licence on June 14.

The minister laid stress on the importance of e-commerce in the era of the digital economy as well as Industrial Revolution 4.0.

It would also ease transactions, save time, avoid unnecessary commissions for public service fees, and build trust among service providers and users, he added.

He acknowledged the collaboration between the General Department of Trade Promotion of the Ministry of Commerce and INTECH DEV Co., Ltd. for making the system available.
