PHNOM PENH: Angkor Wat Temple, the iconic symbol of Cambodia, has been ranked the most-loved attraction in Asia in 2025 by Tripadvisor, surpassing China’s Mutianyu Great Wall and India’s Taj Mahal.
This morning, Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, extended his congratulations on this prestigious recognition.
“Angkor Wat is a world wonder—and it’s not hard to see why. Explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site and admire its architecture and intricate carvings,” Tripadvisor highlighted in its announcement.

Visitors also expressed their admiration in reviews. One international tourist wrote: “Visiting Angkor Wat was an unforgettable experience. Built in the 12th century by King Suryavarman II (1112–1152 AD), Angkor Wat is the largest religious monument in the world.
