ABA Bank strengthens cross-border payments with J.P. Morgan collaboration

PHNOM PENH-ABA Bank continues to elevate its international payment capabilities through the collaboration with J.P. Morgan, one of the world’s leading financial institutions, bringing faster, more transparent, and more reliable cross-border transfers to customers in Cambodia.

As global transactions become increasingly important for both individuals and businesses, ABA has introduced an enhanced cross-currency payment solution designed to simplify international transfers and provide greater certainty at every step.

Powered by J.P. Morgan’s Xpedite platform, the solution enables ABA customers to send funds across a wide range of countries and currencies with improved speed and clarity. Customers benefit from onshore FX pricing and guaranteed exchange rates, ensuring full transparency on the amount sent and received – with no unexpected intermediary deductions.

For businesses, this means greater control over international payments, improved cash flow planning, and more predictable transaction outcomes when dealing with overseas partners and suppliers. For individuals, the solution delivers a smoother and more reliable experience when sending money abroad for education, travel, or family support.

A key advantage of the collaboration is the ability to track payments end-to-end in the ABA Mobile app, giving customers full visibility on transaction status directly within their banking journey. This reduces uncertainty and minimizes the need for manual follow-ups.

ABA’s strong operational performance further reinforces the reliability of this partnership. 99.81% of USD transfers processed via J.P. Morgan is handled through Straight-Through Processing (STP), ensuring fast, accurate, and error-free execution of international payments.

“International transfers are becoming an essential part of everyday banking for many of our customers – from supporting families abroad to managing global business operations,” said Hean Polinda, Chief International Business Officer at ABA Bank. “Through our collaboration with J.P. Morgan, we are enhancing the cross-border payment experience for our customers, making the process faster and more convenient.”

“We are pleased to support ABA Bank in advancing its cross-border payment capabilities,” said Giang Bui, Financial Institution Group Sales, Indochina, J.P. Morgan Payments. “Together, we are delivering faster and more transparent international transactions for customers in Cambodia.”

The collaboration with J.P. Morgan reflects ABA’s continued investment in advanced technology and global partnerships, strengthening its position as a trusted financial partner for customers engaged in international trade, business, and personal transactions.
