PHNOM PENH: A groundbreaking Cambodia-Korea Public-Private Sector Dialogue was held on October 24th in Phnom Penh to bolster economic cooperation between the two nations.
Co-chaired by Cambodia’s Deputy Prime Minister and First Vice President of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), H.E. SUN Chanthol, and the Republic of Korea’s Ambassador, H.E. Park Jung Wook, the event brought together government officials, business leaders, and representatives from both countries.
The Dialogue, initiated by Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei HUN Manet and ROK President H.E. Yoon Suk Yeol during their meeting in May, aims to enhance economic ties, improve the investment environment, and foster trust among Korean businesses.
H.E. SUN Chanthol highlighted the RGC’s commitment to addressing the concerns of Korean investors operating in Cambodia. He provided an update on the Kingdom’s investment trends, the flow of foreign capital, and the progress of the CDC’s Investment Project Management (cdcIPM) system, which streamlines the investment application process.
Ambassador Park Jung Wook expressed his enthusiasm for the Dialogue, which serves as a platform to review Cambodia’s investment climate and attract more Korean investors.
