PHNOM PENH: H.E. Sun Chanthol, Minister of Public Works and Transport, led a delegation to inspect the technical progress of National Road No. 10, which runs from Samlot District in Battambang Province through Veal Veng District in Pursat Province to Koh Kong Province, and to collaborate with the technical team of China Bridge and Road Corporation (CRBC).
The Senior Minister confirmed that the National Road No. 10 construction project, which spans 197.69 kilometers from Samlot district in Battambang province to Veal Veng district in Pursat province and Koh Kong province, is now 56% complete.
During the mission, the Ministry also tested the quality of the road foundation in some places and discovered that the company met technical standards; however, the Ministry will continue to monitor to ensure that there are no errors and that the quality can be used for a long time.
The Senior Minister warned drivers to reverse traffic, whether on the expressway or the regular road because it is a violation of traffic laws and, more importantly, an act that seriously jeopardizes his and others’ lives. The Senior Minister urged people to follow traffic laws consistently and to avoid committing crimes.
The DBST road project connects Samlot-Veal Veng-Osom to Koh Kong, with a total width of 9 meters, a two-layer rubber road, 28 bridges, with a total length of 721.46 meters, including one of the tallest bridges, 75 meters high, 530 meters long, and 10 meters wide, as well as equipped with traffic signs, traffic signs, kilometer poles, and safety poles.
