150 Supercars, 250 Celebrities: Gumball 3000 Rally Heads to Cambodia to Boost Tourism

PHNOM PENH: The Ministry of Tourism (MOT) has joined forces with Chip Mong Group and private sector partners to host the prestigious Gumball 3000 Rally in Cambodia from September 15-17, 2024.

This high-profile event will feature a convoy of 150 supercars driven by 250 popular celebrities, influencers, and artists from around the world.

The rally aims to significantly boost tourism in Siem Reap, Cambodia, aligning with the “Visit Siem Reap 2024” campaign. Other key objectives include promoting Cambodia-China and Cambodia-India tourism relations, as well as supporting the Ministry of Tourism’s strategic initiatives “BUILD + 3Ds”.

Highlights of the Gumball 3000 Rally in Cambodia include, a star-studded concert featuring both Cambodian and international artists will take place in Phnom Penh on September 15 and a charity fundraising event to donate to the Angkor Hospital for Children in Siem Reap.

Guinness World Record Attempt, the rally will also attempt to set a Guinness World Record for the most supercars parked at a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The MOT invites supporters from Cambodia and abroad to participate in the fundraising efforts and help make this event a historic success for Cambodian tourism.

Angkor Archaeological Park, Cambodia’s iconic tourist destination, has already seen a significant increase in foreign visitors this year, with over 650,000 tourists and US$30 million in ticket revenue generated between January and August.
