$10 million’s Kampot tourist port project completed

PHNOM PENH: The international tourist port in Teuk Chhou district, Kampot province, has finally been completed after several delays.

The construction of the Kampot tourist port, funded by the Asian Development Bank and the Royal Government of Cambodia, was completed on June 30, 2022, with a total construction budget of $9.27 million.

Last weekend, Deputy Prime Minister Aun Porn Moniroth, Minister of Economy and Finance, Senior Minister Sun Chanthol, Minister of Public Works and Transport, and Minister of Tourism Thong Khon led an inter-ministerial working group to inspect the port’s progress.

The construction of the Kampot tourist port is located in Teuk Chhou district, Kampot province, and spans 4.25 hectares. The project began on August 8, 2018.

This port will be another new international gateway for Cambodian and international tourists who wish to travel by water and sea between Cambodia and countries in the region and globally.
